First acts announced for All Points East 2019
The Chemical Brothers will headline the first Friday of the 10 day event.
The Chemical Brothers have been confirmed as the headliner for the first Friday of All Points East Festival, returning to Victoria Park in London following the event’s inaugural year.
The electronic maestros will be joined by Hot Chip, Primal Scream, Spiritualized, Little Dragon, Danny Brown, Little Simz, Ibibio Sound Machine and more, still to be announced.
All Points East returns for a ten day run from 24 May 2019 until 2 June 2019, including a three day festival, free community midweek entertainment and artist curated shows.
Last year saw headline shows by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Catfish And The Bottlemen, and The National, and the three day music festival bill topped by LCD Soundsystem, The XX and Bjork.
The Chemical Brothers announcement comes as the group recently revealed latest track Free Yourself, the first new music since 2015’s No.1 album Born In The Echoes. They also recently played an acclaimed sold out weekend at London’s Alexandra Palace.
Their highly influential catalogue includes hit singles GO, Hey Boy Hey Girl, Block Rockin’ Beats and Galvanise, and are expected to bring a selection to Victoria Park on Friday 24 May 2019.
They’ll be joined by fellow celebrated electronic outfit Hot Chip, crossover legends Primal Scream, and space rockers Spiritualized.
Little Dragon, Danny Brown, Little Simz and Ibibio Sound Machine also join the bill.
More acts are expected to be revealed in the near future.
