First names announced for Benicàssim 2019
The festival returns to Spain from 18 – 21 July 2019.
The first names have been confirmed for FIB 2019.
Lana Del Rey will take headline duties on one of the nights of the festival, joined by The 1975, Blossoms, La M.O.D.A, Cupido and Cariño.
They take to the event, running from the 18 – 21 July 2019 in the Spanish town of Benicàssim, located on the coast between Barcelona and Valencia.
Lana Del Rey is the first headliner to be announced, having released her most recent single Venice Bitch last month. Rey, who is gearing up for the release of her sixth studio album next year, boasts hits such as Love, High By The Beach, Blue Jeans and her breakthrough Videogames.
She’ll be joined on the bill by UK sensations The 1975, themselves preparing to drop the eagerly anticipated A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships at the end of this month. The prolific pop and rock crossovers will also be releasing Notes on a Conditional Form next year.
The bill welcomes UK indie behemoths Blossoms, bringing material from their new album Cool Like You.
The homegrown contingent is currently led by La M.O.D.A, delivering a mash up of folk, country, punk and rock & roll. The seven piece most recently released Salvavidas (De Las Balas Perdidas).
The final two additions are Spanish bedroom pop outfit Cupido and punk-pop trio Cariño.
FIB 2019, commonly known as Benicassim, will take place from 18 – 21 July 2019.
